Shibang, Stands the Test of Time
What we do today is to help the future of Shibang Machinery with youth and spirit ever and forever......
Traditionally, the closed circuit ball mill with high efficiency separator has been the most common system for cement grinding. However, as happened with raw grinding over the last 25 years, thevertical mill is now successfully being used for many clinker grinding applications and is rapidly becoming the standard for new grinding installations. The first such vertical mill installation in the United States was part of a total plant expansion and began operation in August of 2002.
| Parameter | Ball Mill | Vertical Mill |
| Energy Consumption | 100% | 60% |
| Comminution mechanisms | impact, frictioncom, pression | frictioncom, pression |
| product fineness(cm²/g) | > 6 000 | 4 500 |
| RRSB slope | 0.85 to 1.1 *) | 0.85 to 1.1 |
| specific energy demand(%) | 100 | 60 to 70 |
| product fineness(cm²/g) | > 6 000 | > 6 000 |
| wearing parts | lining,grinding balls | hardfaced rollers,grinding table |
| service life of grinding media(a) | 3 to 6 | partial or complete hardfacing of the working surfaces at intervals of 2 to 3 months |
| specific wear(g/t) | 120 to 150 | 3 to 6 |
| Summary |
• High energy consumption • Reliable - long service life of the wearing parts • Limitation in feed moisture – at high feed moisture external drying necessary |
• High energy savings • Very high material moisture contents (up to 25 %) can be processed • Lowwearcosts • Maximum achievable fineness 4 500 Blaine for OPC |
